Engineering profession serves as the backbone of a country’s economy. Engineers play their inevitable role towards national development by exploiting their potential for ingenuity and innovation. They facilitate human life by making it more convenient, comfortable and enviable. Electrical Engineering is at the heart of the most current technological breakthroughs. Any device with energy or IT component is derived from in-depth knowledge of Electrical Engineering. It is a broad field encompassing many areas of study. It offers the widest range of career possibilities. The ground knowledge of the main fields related to Electrical Engineering will be imparted to students in the early semesters. To guide students through the broad array of fields, curriculum streams have been created which will widely help them in 6th semester for their area of specialization.


Our vision behind Electrical Engineering Department is to make it a centre of quality research work. We envision producing graduates having experience to solve real life engineering problems and become a leading department in pursuit of inculcating problem-solving and innovative skills among students in order to develop human capital and to produce knowledge-based society.


  • To develop and maintain high quality Programmes for the students to meet the needs of the society and productive research that contributes to the economic well being and quality of life.
  • To instill in-depth knowledge of theory and practice of hardware and information processing-oriented electrical engineering in order to produce professionals who may serve the society at large.
  Programme Objectives
  1. To provide a first-rate education in analog and digital circuits, microelectronic devices and technologies, signal & systems, basic computer engineering (including programming), electromagnetic and optics that incorporate open-ended design experiences and the use of hardware and software tools.
  2. To prepare students for a career and/or graduate education in electrical engineering as it applies to the major technical areas of microelectronics, signals and systems and  electromagnetic &optics.
  3. To develop skills of clear verbal and written communication and responsible teamwork to foster professional attitudes and awareness of the benefits of life-long learning.
  4. To provide a learning environment that is based on solution-oriented approach to deal in real engineering problems.

Programme/Students Outcomes

  1. Apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering.
  2. Design and conduct experiments as well as analyze and interpret data.
  3. Design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as socio-economic, environmental, political, ethical, manufacturability and sustainability.
